Swan River catchment

Today boys discussed and investigated what a catchment is and what/where the Swan River Catchment area is.

Some interesting facts we learnt are:
-A catchment is an area of land that catches precipitation before it runs off into a water system.
-The catchment area is 125, 000 square km
-Tributaries are water systems that contribute water to the Swan River

Some vocabulary we discussed was:
-metropolitan

-industrial
-recreation
-agriculture
-flora and fauna
-industrial
